Johann Georg Haeser
Johann Georg Häser (born October 11, 1729 in Gersdorf bei Görlitz , † March 15, 1809 in Leipzig ) was a German violinist and music director .
Life
Häser was born near Görlitz in 1729. First he studied law at the University of Leipzig . From 1763 he was first violinist ( prelude ) under Johann Adam Hiller (1763-1804) at the Gewandhausorchester in Leipzig. Subsequently he worked as music director at the Leipzig Theater and from 1785 to 1809 at the Leipzig University Church . He set up aid funds for needy employees.
His children also became musicians: the organist Johann Friedrich Häser (1775–1801), the actor and singer Karl Georg Häser (1777–1873), the composer August Ferdinand Häser (1779–1844), the opera singer and playwright Christian Wilhelm Häser ( 1781–1867) and the singer Charlotte Henriette Häser (1784–1871). The theater actor and opera singer Gustav Häser (1814–1861) and the opera singer Mathilde Häser (1815–1885), children of Christian Wilhelm and the son of Karl Georg Häser, Karl Häser (1809-1887), were his grandchildren.
