Johannes Kreidl (born March 7, 1996 in Hart im Zillertal ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .
Career
In the club
Kreidl began his career at SV Fügen and was later accepted into the Tyrolean Academy of the Tyrolean Football Association. In the 2013/14 season Kreidl played for SV Fügen in the fourth-class Tyrolean regional league and once for the second team of FC Wacker Innsbruck in the third-class Regionalliga West .
For the 2014/15 season, Kreidl moved to Hamburger SV . In his first year at HSV, he made 18 appearances in the A-Jugend (U-19) in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga - in addition to a second-team appearance in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord . After Kreidl had passed through the youth division, he moved up to the second team for the 2015/16 season . There he was not used behind Tom Mickel and Andreas Hirzel , the third goalkeeper of the first team.
In order to gain match practice, Kreidl was loaned to the Finnish first division club Kuopion PS from the beginning of February 2016 until the end of the 2016 season. After four games in the League Cup and two appearances in the Suomen Cup , Kreidl made his debut on April 9, 2016 in the 0-1 defeat by Tampereen Ilves on the first day of the Veikkausliiga . Kreidl made 24 league appearances throughout the season.
In January 2017, Kreidl moved to the U21s of 1. FC Nürnberg .
For the 2018/19 season he returned to Austria, where he joined the second division club SV Ried . With Ried he rose to the Bundesliga in 2020 . After promotion, he left the club after 53 appearances in the 2nd division .
In the national team
Kreidl is Austria's junior national player. With the U-20 selection , he took part in the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand , in which he was not used behind Tino Casali .
In May 2018 he made his debut in a test match against the Czech Republic for the U-21 team .
