Tino Casali (born November 14, 1995 in Villach ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Casali began his career at SV Spittal / Drau . For the 2009/10 season he came to AKA Carinthia , where he went through all age groups. In July 2011 he came to work for the second team of his home club Spittal / Drau in the seventh class, 2nd class . In April 2013 he made his debut for the first team in the national league . This was his only use for Spittal in the fourth highest division.

For the 2013/14 season he moved to the academy of FK Austria Vienna . In October 2013 he played his first and only game for Austria's U-19 team in the UEFA Youth League . In February 2014 he was against SK Rapid Wien for the first time in the squad of the professionals of Austria without having played for the amateurs beforehand. In March 2014 he finally made his debut against the amateurs of SV Mattersburg for the amateurs of Austria in the Regionalliga . By the end of the season he made eleven regional league appearances. For the 2014/15 season he was a permanent member of the Austrian team. During that season he made eleven appearances for the amateurs, but did not get a train with the professionals.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the second division Floridsdorfer AC on a cooperation basis . He made his debut in the second division in July 2015, when he was in the starting line-up against LASK on the first day of that season . After eight second division games for the FAC, he returned to Austria early in October 2015 after Robert Almer was injured. However, he did not get to work for the professionals and so only one game for the amateurs in the regional league was added to his eight second division games until the end of the season. Also in the 2016/17 season he only made six regional league appearances.

After the 2016/17 season, he left Austria without any commitment for the professionals and joined league rivals SV Mattersburg . In the 2017/18 season he did not play for the Burgenland professionals and only played one game for the amateurs in the Burgenland League, with which he was promoted to the Regional League at the end of the season. He finally made his debut in the Bundesliga in April 2019 when he was in the starting line-up against SK Rapid Wien on matchday 25 of the 2018/19 season. In the 2018/19 season Casali made five Bundesliga appearances. In the 2019/20 season, he played four games in the top division, and he also played for the amateurs in the regional league.

After leaving Burgenland for three seasons, he moved to league competitor SCR Altach after his contract with Mattersburg ended for the 2020/21 season .

National team

Casali made his debut against France for the Austrian U-18 selection in September 2012 . By March 2013 he came to three missions for this. In September 2013 he came against Northern Ireland for the first time for the U-19 team . With this he also took part in the EM in 2014 . During the tournament he was the second goalie behind Ivan Lucic and came on a mission. With Austria he failed in the semifinals to Germany . By reaching the semi-finals, Austria also qualified for the U-20 World Cup the following year.

In May 2015 he made his debut against New Zealand for the U-20 selection . Casali was also appointed to the Austrian squad for the U-20 World Cup. Casali was a regular goalkeeper during the tournament and was used in all four games in his country; Austria was eliminated in the round of 16 against Uzbekistan .
