Philipp Netzer (born October 2, 1985 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian football player . He plays for SCR Altach .

Career

Netzer began his career at BNZ Vorarlberg . In 2003 he came to the first team of the then second division club FC Lustenau 07 , in 2004 he moved on to league rivals SCR Altach . In 2005 Netzer joined the amateurs of FK Austria Wien . In 2007 the midfielder made his Bundesliga debut . Further appearances with professionals and amateurs followed, and he was also used twice in the UEFA Cup . In summer 2009 his contract with Wiener Austria expired.

For the 2009/10 season Netzer returned to SCR Altach, who had been relegated from the Bundesliga. With the team he was promoted back to the Bundesliga in 2014 and qualified for the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League in the 2014/15 Bundesliga season , but was eliminated there after the play-offs. Qualification for the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League also ended in the play-offs.

Netzer is team captain ; his contract runs until 2020.
