Nosa Iyobosa Edokpolor (born September 22, 1996 in Benin City , Nigeria ) is an Austrian football player of Nigerian origin.

Career

Iyobosa Edokpolor started his career at SV Glanegg . For the 2006/07 season he moved to the youth team at FC St. Veit . In April 2012 he played for the first team of St. Veit in the fourth class national league . In the 2011/12 season he came to a total of three national league appearances. In the 2012/13 season he came to 15 appearances in the fourth division. In May 2014 he scored his first goal in the fourth-highest division in a 5-2 defeat against SC Landskron .

For the 2014/15 season he moved to Italy in the youth team of US Palermo . For the U-19 from Palermo, he came to six missions in the Campionato Primavera . For the 2015/16 season he returned to Austria and switched to the third-class amateurs of Wolfsberger AC . In July 2015 he played his first game in the regional league against Annabichler SV . In the 2015/16 season he made 27 regional league appearances, but at the end of the season he was relegated to the regional league with the Carinthian amateurs.

Iyobosa Edokpolor then moved to the second division SV Horn for the 2016/17 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2018. His debut in the second division in August 2016 when he came on as a substitute for Ferdinand Weinwurm on matchday six that season against SC Wiener Neustadt in stoppage time . By the end of the season he came to ten appearances in the second division, from which he was relegated with Horn. After relegation, he scored his first regional league in April 2018 in a 2-0 win against SC-ESV Parndorf in 1919 . By the end of the season he was used in all 31 Horner games and was able to move up to the 2nd league again with the Lower Austrians.

After being promoted again, he moved to the neo-league competitor FC Blau-Weiß Linz for the 2018/19 season . In October 2018, he scored his first goal in professional football in a 6-3 win against the second team of FK Austria Wien . In his first season with the Linzers he completed 29 second division games, only on the 19th match day he was suspended.

After a further 23 appearances, the contract was terminated in July 2020 during the current 2019/20 season due to disciplinary problems. Iyobosa Edokpolor had previously refused a substitution against his ex-club Horn on matchday 26, insulting sports director Konstantin Wawra and not showing up for training the following day.

He then moved to Bundesliga club SCR Altach for the 2020/21 season .
