Philipp Schmiedl (born July 23, 1997 in Antau ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Schmiedl started his career at SC Wiesen . In 2008 he played briefly at ASV Neufeld before returning to Wiesen. In 2009 he joined the youth team at SK Rapid Vienna . In 2011 he moved to AKA Burgenland . After a season at AKA Burgenland, he returned to Rapid in 2012, where he played in the club's academy from then on.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the regional division Union St. Florian . In July 2015, he made his debut in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against ATSV Stadl-Paura on the first day of that season . He scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in the same month in a 3-1 win against Deutschlandsberger SC . At the end of the season he had 28 regional league games in which he scored seven goals.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors . With the Juniors he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 .

Schmiedl made his debut in the second highest division in July 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against the second team of FC Wacker Innsbruck on the first day of the 2018/19 season and was replaced by Maxime Helal Ali in the 71st minute .

In August 2018 he was against Lillestrøm SK for the first time in the LASK squad . After the 2018/19 season he left the Juniors Upper Austria. In July 2019 he moved to Bundesliga club SCR Altach , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
