Daniel Maderner (born October 12, 1995 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Maderner began his career at BSV Enzesfeld-Hirtenberg . In November 2009 he switched to AKA St. Pölten , where he went through all age groups. For the 2013/14 season he moved to the Bundesliga club SC Wiener Neustadt . In August 2013 he made his debut for the Lower Austrians in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Thomas Pichlmann on matchday four of that season against SV Ried in stoppage time . In March 2014, he was on the starting line-up of Wiener Neustadt for the first time against Wolfsberger AC . In his first season as a professional, he made eight Bundesliga appearances, and he was also used once with the amateurs in the fifth-highest division.

For the 2014/15 season he was awarded on a cooperation basis to the second division club Floridsdorfer AC in order to collect match practice. In August 2014, he scored his first goal in the second division in a 3-2 win for Vienna against TSV Hartberg . From the end of September 2014 Maderner, who was authorized to play both for Wiener Neustadt and the FAC, was only used for the Lower Austrians. At the end of the season he had 21 goalless Bundesliga appearances and six for the FAC in the second division. Wiener Neustadt rose from the top division at the end of the 2014/15 season. After relegation, Manderner made 28 second division appearances in the 2015/16 season, in which he scored three goals. On April 6, 2016, SC Wiener Neustadt announced that the contract with the center forward had been extended until the end of the 2017/18 season. In the 2016/17 season, the striker had no hits in 18 season appearances for the professionals, and he also played two games for the amateurs in the fifth division. In the 2017/18 season he came to only one season assignment for the professionals after one in August 2017, for the amateurs he came to three assignments after his comeback in April 2018.

For the 2018/19 season, after the end of his contract with Wiener Neustadt, he moved to the regional league team ASK Ebreichsdorf . For Ebreichsdorf he scored 22 goals in 28 games in the Regionalliga and was champion of the Regionalliga Ost with the club . For the 2019/20 season he moved to the second division SKU Amstetten . After he was able to assert himself again in professional football at Amstetten, he switched to Bundesliga club SCR Altach for the 2020/21 season after his contract with the Lower Austrians expired .

National team

Maderner completed a game for the Austrian U-18 selection in March 2013 . In September 2013 he made his debut against Northern Ireland for the U-19 team . With this he also took part in the European Championships in 2014 , where he failed with the Austrians in the semifinals against the eventual winner Germany . Maderner came on two missions during the tournament.

Between November 2014 and June 2015 he came to four missions for the U-21 selection .
