John Bruce Cuneo (born June 16, 1928 in Brisbane , † June 2, 2020 ) was an Australian regatta sailor .

biography

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , Cuneo finished fifth along with Thomas Anderson and John Furgeson . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , he won the gold medal in the dragon boat together with Anderson and John Shaw .

He was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Awards in 1986 , the Queensland Sport Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Australian Sailing Hall of Fame with Thomas Anderson and John Shaw in 2018 . Cuneo, who was married with four sons, died on June 2, 2020.
