John Juergens

John Jürgens (born February 20, 1964 in Munich as John Bockelmann ), also known as an actor under the name Jonny Jürgens , is a German actor and DJ (John Munich) .

Life

family

Jürgens was born as the first child of Panja Jürgens, née Erika Paula Meier, and the singer and composer Udo Jürgens . He spent the first years of childhood with his parents and sister Jenny Jürgens, first in Munich, then in Vaterstetten , where he grew up, Kitzbühel and finally in Zurich . At the age of 18 he moved to Munich with his sister Jenny, where he gained his first film experience. He has two half-sisters, Sonja Jürgens (* 1966) and Gloria Burda (* 1994), both of Udo Jürgens' illegitimate daughters.

Jürgens has been married to Hayah, a German-Korean, since 1998 and has three children.

The heirs Jenny and John Jürgens appointed by him under Swiss inheritance law and Udo Jürgens' last partner Michaela Moritz with the illegitimate daughter and legatee Sonja Jürgens did not agree on the division of the estate of the father Udo Jürgens, who died in December 2014 but with the other illegitimate daughter and legatee Gloria Burda. The inheritance dispute could only be resolved in November 2018.

Acting career

From 1982 to 1991 Jürgens completed a private, classical acting and dance training. His stations on this path were Zurich (Jacob Jenkins), Salzburg (musical seminar with Susi Nicoletti ), Munich ( Georg Thomalla , Jimmy James) and most recently the Lee Strasberg Inst. In New York .

As an actor, Jürgens took part in a few shallow movies in the early to mid-1980s , which can be attributed to the genres of comedy, film clothes and the erotic and sex films of the time. These included u. a. the film amusement play A fat dog (1982), the mistaken comedy Sunshine Reggae on Ibiza (1983) and the erotic sex comedy Schoolgirl '84 (1984). Jürgens also played in television series such as Derrick , Marienhof , Doppelter Einsatz and Schlosshotel Orth . In the years 1995/1996 (episode 331 to episode 639) he had a continuous leading role in the ARD series Marienhof . He played Konstantin Deile, the Munich- based friend and later husband of the serial character Jenny Wagner-Busch ( Sabine Bohlmann ). In 2002, Jürgens took up his role again for two guest appearances.

In 1984 he performed in Munich and Zurich together with the dancer Cheryl Christiansen with his own show CJ Specials (dance, parody satire). He also had television appearances in music shows and music programs; u. a. he appeared in the ARD program Zum Blauen Bock .

Jürgens also participated in several theater productions . He made his first theater tour in the 1985/86 season. Together with Georg Thomalla, he appeared in a touring production of the comedy Father of a Daughter by Curth Flatow . He had theater roles in the plays The Lord and the Kitten , Laura , A Touch of Spring and Heavenly Abyss . With the role of Danny Dorgan in the psychological thriller Laura by Vera Caspary , he went on tour throughout Germany in the seasons 1987/88 and 1988/89 in a production of the Theatergastspiele Kempf GmbH; his partners were u. a. Christiane Krüger , Horst Janson , Alexander Osteroth and Dieter Schaad .

Career as a DJ and music consultant

In 1997 he started working as a DJ under the name "John Munich" in a small bar in Munich . At Radio Gong 96.3 in Munich, Jürgens has had a radio program called Munich's Finest since 2003 . He produced his own music with the musicians Darius Rafat and Alex Klier ( LXK Studios ). Their first and so far only maxi CD Happy Hour was released on September 5th, 2005. In 2008 he released the soul compilation Soul Ya 2 with Wavemusic .

Jürgens works for various companies with music consultancy, most recently u. a. for BMW , Alfons Schuhbeck , the Münchner Bank or the Eickhoff fashion house in Düsseldorf. His wife Hayah Jürgens founded the artist agency and production company JMP Entertainment , which specializes primarily in arranging DJs and live acts as well as technical and artistic management at events. From 2010 until the end of the 2016 season he was responsible for the background music and accompaniment for the television program Doppelpass .
