Jonathan "Jon" Daniel Foster (born August 3, 1984 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Jon Foster, a younger brother of actor Ben Foster , made his debut at an Iowa theater. He later moved to Los Angeles , where he lived with his brother. After two guest appearances in television series, he played the role of one of the sons of Kenny O'Donnell ( Kevin Costner ) in the political thriller Thirteen Days (2000 ).

In the television thriller Murder in Greenwich (2002) Foster appeared in one of the larger roles and was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2003 . In the drama The Door in the Floor based on the novel Widow for a Year by John Irving , he played the role of assistant to the writer Ted Cole ( Jeff Bridges ), with whose wife ( Kim Basinger ) he is having an affair .

In 2006 he starred in the horror film Stay Alive . In the adventure comedy A Fateful Summer (2008) he played the role of a student who has a criminal father ( Nick Nolte ) and has an intimate relationship with Jane Bellwether ( Sienna Miller ) and her friend Cleveland Arning ( Peter Sarsgaard ).

On June 20, 2015, he married Chelsea Tyler, the daughter of singer Steven Tyler , after they got engaged in May 2014.
