Jordon Southorn (born May 15, 1990 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who last completed a try-out with the Straubing Tigers from the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
Southorn began his professional career in 2006 with the Prince Edward Island Rockets from the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec (LHJMQ). In 2010, the left shooter made his debut with the Trenton Titans of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The Canadian spent the following season at both Trenton and league competitor Wheeling Nailers . He also played two games with the Providence Bruins from the American Hockey League (AHL). The 2012/13 season Southorn played for the Elmira Jackals from the ECHL, where he was the best defender with 34 points from 64 games. After three games for Elmira in the 2013/14 season, Southorn moved to the English Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) with the Dundee Stars . From Scotland , however, the defender returned to America after three games and moved to Fort Wayne Komets from the ECHL. Furthermore, the native Canadian completed a try-out with the Portland Pirates from the AHL, for which he was on the ice for most of the subsequent 2014/15 season . The left-shot returned to Fort Wayne in the 2015/16 season .
For the 2016/17 season , Southorn moved to Russia to Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk from the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League (VHL). The following season the Canadian spent next to the team from Öskemen also with the Barys Nur-Sultan from the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
In July 2018, the Straubing Tigers from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced that they had signed a try-out contract with Southorn. On August 27, however, it was announced that this would not be converted into a contract for the 2018/19 season .
