Josef Alexander Henselmann

Josef Alexander Henselmann (born May 27, 1963 in Munich ) is a German sculptor and painter .

Life

Henselmann studied medicine and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . After obtaining his diploma in sculpture in 1989, he became assistant to Erich Koch at this academy . He has been a freelance sculptor since 1990. In 1993 he was at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Dr. med. PhD. Henselmann lives partly in Bangalore , where he works as a professor of sculpture at the local university. He created some bronze reliefs for the Frauenkirche in Munich , including those of Maria Theresia Gerhardinger , Kaspar Stangassinger , Rupert Mayer and Benedikt XVI. Glass objects on the history of aviation can be seen at Munich Airport.

He is a grandson of the sculptor Josef Henselmann . Since his studies he has been a member of the Catholic German Student Union Trifels Munich in the CV .
