Josef Fischl

Josef Fischl (born February 28, 1867 in Körmend ; † March 7, 1954 in Güssing ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( GDVP ). Fischl was married and a member of the Burgenland Landtag.

Fischl was born as the son of August Fischl from Körmend. He attended elementary and vocational school and subsequently worked as a master wagoner and farmer. Fischl held the office of mayor between 1921 and 1925 and was a member of the state board of the Greater Germans. Furthermore, Fischl was chamber councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1932 to 1936. He was awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor. Fischl represented the Greater German People's Party between July 15, 1922 and November 13, 1923 in the Burgenland Landtag . On July 15, 1922, he was also the age president of the state parliament when it was constituted.
