Johann Grabenhofer

Johann Grabenhofer (born December 16, 1903 in Unterschützen ; † December 22, 1990 ibid) was an Austrian farmer in Unterschützen and Politiker ( ÖVP ). Grabenhofer was married and a member of the Burgenland State Parliament and President of the State Parliament.

Grabenhofer was born as the son of the member of the state parliament and national councilor Gottlieb Grabenhofer from Unterschützen and attended elementary school and grammar school in Oberschützen until 1917 . Like his father, Grabenhofer became a farmer and ran the fruit tree school in Jormannsdorf from 1928 to 1945 . In 1957 he was appointed economics councilor.

Grabenhofer was chairman of the Großpetersdorf warehouse cooperative from 1945 to 1962, and between 1945 and 1976 he was deputy chairman of the Oberwart dairy cooperative. Grabenhofer was also chairman of the Oberwarter Volksbank between 1949 and 1976 and a member of the board of directors of Raiffeisenbank Burgenland between 1955 and 1968.

From 1945 to 1959, Grabenhofer was involved in the professional representation as the district farmers' union chairman in the Oberwart district and was third president of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture between 1947 and 1952 . Grabenhofer was dismissed as a member of the ÖVP in the Burgenland state parliament on January 4, 1946 and was part of the V and VI. Legislative period to the state parliament. Grabenhofer resigned from the state parliament on March 19, 1953. During the VI. Legislative period, from November 4, 1949, Grabenhofer was 1st President of the State Parliament.
