Michael Koch (politician, 1877)

Michael Koch (born October 1, 1877 in Mattersburg ; † October 16, 1941 ibid) was an Austrian master mason and politician ( CS ). Koch was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament , a member of the Burgenland State Government and a member of the Federal Council .

Life

Michael Koch was born as the son of the bricklayer Andreas Koch from Mattersdorf. He attended elementary and vocational school and learned the trade of bricklayer. He worked as a mason foreman between 1899 and 1918 and as a master mason from 1919. In 1922 Koch was a member of the administrative office for Burgenland and between 1922 and 1934 he was a member of the state party executive in the Christian Social Party. In addition, Koch was Mayor of Mattersburg from May 3, 1931 to March 12, 1938 and also held the office of Vice President between 1924 and 1937 and the office of President of the State Chamber of Commerce for Burgenland in 1938.

Koch was married.

Koch represented the Christian Social Party between July 15, 1922 and October 31, 1934 in the Burgenland Landtag ( 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th legislative period ). Between December 11, 1933 and October 31, 1934, Koch held the office of First President of the State Parliament. In addition, from November 11, 1934 to March 12, 1938, Koch was a member of the State Parliament and President of the State Parliament. Between May 20, 1927 and December 10, 1930, Koch was a member of the Burgenland provincial government as provincial councilor, where he was a member of the provincial governments Rauhofer II , Schreiner I and Thullner . Thereafter he was a member of the Federal Council ( 4th legislative period ) from February 4, 1932 to August 10, 1932 .
