For the Northern Europeans, he scored 24 goals in 56 games and gave another 36 assists. After a year he left the club and joined the Russian club Severstal Tscherepowez , for which he played until 2012 - initially for a year in the Russian Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . He completed a total of over 200 games for Severstal, in which he scored 79 goals.
