After a full season in Edmonton, an eventful season came to him. He started in Edmonton, moved to the New York Rangers and was passed on to the Washington Capitals during the season , but even here he only stayed until the end of the season.
He played for the Calgary Flames in the 2003-04 season before returning to the Rangers later in the season. Since the following season was canceled due to a strike, Green played in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose . From the 2005/06 season he was with the Vancouver Canucks for two years . In October 2010 he was sent to their farm team , the Syracuse Crunch , in the American Hockey League together with Maxime Macenauer .
On July 3, 2011, Green signed a two-way contract with the Edmonton Oilers and was used in the following two seasons mainly with the Oklahoma City Barons in the AHL. After he could not recommend himself again in the fall of 2013 for a regular place in the NHL squad of the Oilers, Green moved to Europe to Tappara Tampere .
