Julia Kent (born January 26, 1961 in Munich ) is a German actress , screenwriter and writer .

Life

Kent was born in Munich in 1961 as the daughter of a senior teacher, a freelance artist and a lawyer. After graduating from high school, she first studied theology, psychology, theater studies and modern German literary history in Munich, but dropped out after two and a half years in order to devote herself entirely to training as an actress and author.

She was discovered by the Italian director Umberto Lenzi and has worked as a writer and actress alongside internationally known actors such as Ernest Borgnine , James Brolin , Telly Savalas , Larry Hagman and Morgan Fairchild . In the late 1980s she lived in Los Angeles for a few years. In the role of Krista Springer on the side of Roy Black in the series Ein Schloß am Wörthersee , she became known in German-speaking countries in the early 1990s. In 1995 she retired into private life, but returned in 1999 as a stage actress at the side of Pierre Brice as Jane Kimball in Indiscreet (based on the play Kind Sir by Norman Krasna ). After another long break, she is now working as a writer. Her first novel, published in 2008, is called The Day the Angels Fly .

Julia Kent lives with her husband and their three children on an organic farm in Baierbrunn .
