The area young moraine landscape between Amtzell and Vogt is a Regulation of 1 December 1995 the District Office Ravensburg been instructed conservation area (LSG number 4.36.072) in the territory of the municipalities Amtzell , Bodnegg Vogt , Waldburg and Wangen in the district of Ravensburg in Baden Württemberg , Germany .

Location and description

The approximately 5176  hectares large conservation area young moraine landscape between Amtzell and Vogt is part of the natural environment Westallgäuer hills . Its center is about 3.5 kilometers north of the Amtzeller, 4.4 kilometers southwest of the Vogter and 3.3 kilometers southeast of the Waldburg town center. It encompasses the ridge of the Inner Jungendmoränenwalles, the tongue basin landscape bordering to the north ("Waldburger Bucht") and the south bordering moraine landscape of Amtzell.

The nature reserves Blauensee , Dietenberger Weiher , Edensbacher Mösle , Felder See , Herzogenweiher , Neuhauser Moos-Mollenweiher , Pfaumoos, Niggelmoos and Bei der Runde and Scheibensee are within the protected area .

Protection purpose

With the designation of the protected area, a characteristic and very well trained to cut in the Würm -scale glacial moraine with restless relief due to numerous Moränekuppen ( end and moraine , some drumlins ) and erosion can be obtained.
