occupation

Just Imagine is an American musical science fiction film directed by David Butler from 1930.

action

New York in 1980 . There are no more cars, only airplanes. People have numbers instead of names. Food is only consumed through pills. Love is regulated, there are only state-arranged weddings.

When a woman has more than one suitor, the government steps in and appoints an elimination. This time the young pilot J - 21 has to outdo the wealthy MT - 3 in order to marry his girlfriend LN - 18. He has four months to improve his image. During these three months, MT-3 is considered the fiancé. Scientist Z - 4 gives J - 21 the opportunity to launch a rocket to Mars.

J - 21 and his friend RT - 42 meet Single 0, who was killed by a lightning strike in the 1930s and has now been resuscitated by scientists. The three men become friends. Single 0 cannot cope with the living conditions in the future and hides on board the Martian rocket. J-21 is supposed to be accompanied by RT-42 of all things.

All Martians are twins, one part being good and the other part being bad. The good ones are called Loo-Loo (woman) and Loko (man), the bad ones Boo-Boo (woman) and Boko (man). Since the three Earthlings do not know whether they are dealing with the good or the bad part of the twins, incidents occur again and again. Single 0, RT - 42 and J-21 can flee back to earth with the rocket. There it is now to be checked whether J - 21 is worthy to marry LN - 18. As proof that they were on Mars, Single 0 presents a captured Boko to authorities. Now nothing stands in the way of the wedding. In addition, Single 0 gets to know his aged son Axel.
