action

Broadway producer Don King is very concerned about the start of his new show. The premiere is to take place on the same evening as a large benefit gala. To make the show interesting, he hires the waiter Hal Adams, who disguised as a millionaire buys tickets for the entire first week of the show. Hal attends the show every night on the pretext that he is in love with Betty Bradley, the star of the show. He actually falls in love with Betty, who has no idea of the deception. Because the fear of being exposed grows, Hal goes into hiding before the actual premiere. Don is now broke because Hal spent the money unchecked in his role as a millionaire, and the show threatens to fall into the water. He confesses everything to Betty, and she manages to raise money through an advertising contract so that the show can take place. The show becomes a success, and Hal and Betty get married.
