Køng Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Båg Herred in what was then Odense Amt , then to Glamsbjerg Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Assens Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform . Until the abolition of the Danish church districts on October 1, 2010, the Glamsbjerg Kirkedistrikt still existed within Køng Sogn , which was then merged into Sogn.

In the parish of 3770 inhabitants, of which 3275 in the former living communities center Glamsbjerg (: January 1, 2020 version). In the parish are the churches "Køng Kirke" and "Glamsbjerg Kirke".

Neighboring communities are in the south Hårby Sogn , in the west Flemløse Sogn , in the northwest Søllested Sogn and Ørsted Sogn and in the east Verninge Sogn , furthermore in the east Faaborg-Midtfyn municipality Nørre Broby Sogn .

Northwest of Kong was a large urn field of the Iron Age unearthed.
