Verninge Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Odense Herred in the then Odense office , then to the Tommerup municipality in the Fyns office , which was merged into the Assens municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

1692 inhabitants live in the parish, 790 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Verninge Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the southwest Køng Sogn , in the West Ørsted Sogn , in the northwest of places Sogn and north Tommerup Sogn and Brylle Sogn , also in the east neighboring Municipality of Odense Bellinge Sogn and Fangel Sogn and in the southern Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality Nørre Broby Sogn .
