Vissenbjerg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Odense Herred in what was then Odense Amt , then to Vissenbjerg Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Assens Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

5811 inhabitants live in the parish, 3233 of them in the former municipality center Vissenbjerg (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Vissenbjerg Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are in the southeast Broholm Sogn , in the southwest of places Sogn and west Årup Sogn and Rorup Sogn , also in the northern nordfyn municipality Hårslev Sogn (Nordfyns Kommune) , Veflinge Sogn and Vigerslev Sogn (Nordfyns Kommune) and in the eastern Odense Ubberud Sogn commune .
