Vor Frue Kirke

Assens Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Båg Herred in the then Odense office , then to the Assens municipality in the Fyns office , which was merged into the "new" Assens municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

Of the 6,016 inhabitants of Assens , 5,676 live in the parish of the same name (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Vor Frue Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Gamtofte Sogn in the north , Kærum Sogn in the east and south .
