Kęstutis Trečiokas (born March 3, 1957 in Telšiai ) is a Lithuanian politician. From 2014 to 2016 he was Lithuania's Minister of Environment .

Life

After graduation in 1975 at Žemaitė -Gymnasium graduated Trečiokas 1982, the diploma in Electromechanics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Kauno politechnikos institutas and 1991 Management at the Vilniaus universitetas . From 1982 to 1993 he worked as an engineer at "Mastis", from 1993 to 1998 at AB "Telteksa". From 1995 to 2011 Trečiokas was a member of the Council of Telšiai Rajonggemeinde . From February 2013 to July 2014 he was Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania , deputy to Birutė Vėsaitė (* 1951) and then to Evaldas Gustas in the Butkevičius cabinet . From July 17, 2014 to December 13, 2016 he was Lithuania's Minister of the Environment .

From 1987 to 1990 Trečiokas was a member of Lietuvos komunistų partija , 1994 of Lietuvos centro sąjunga , from 2002 Liberalų Demokratieų partija , from 2006 of Tvarka ir teisingumas .

Trečiokas is married. He and his wife Janina Trečiokienė have sons Darius and Martynas.
