Kłodobok ( German Klodebach ) is a village in the rural municipality of Kamiennik in the powiat Nyski in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical location

The anger village of Kłodobok is located in the southwest of the historical region of Upper Silesia . The place is located about five kilometers southeast of the municipality of Kamiennik , about 15 kilometers northwest of the district town of Nysa and about 64 kilometers southwest of the voivodeship capital Opole .

Kłodobok is located in the Przedgórze Sudeckie (Sudeten Foothills ) within the Wzgórza Niemczańsko-Strzelińskie (Nimptsch-Strehlen-Heights) . The village lies on the Krynka (Kryhn) , a right tributary of the Oława (Ohle) .

Sacred Heart Chapel

In the work Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from the years 1295-1305, the place is first mentioned as Clodobok . The place name Clodebok has been handed down for the year 1363 .

After the First Silesian War in 1742, Klodebach and most of Silesia fell to Prussia .

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community of Klodebach belonged to the district of Grottkau in the administrative district of Opole from 1816 . In 1845 there was a Scholtisei, a Vorwerk and 116 other houses in the village. In the same year, 670 people lived in Klodebach, all of them Catholic. In 1855 650 people lived in Klodebach. In 1856 a school was set up in Ort. In 1865 there were 24 farms, 25 gardeners and 34 cottages in the village. The Catholic school was attended by 119 students in the same year. 9. In 1874 the administrative district of Klodebach was founded, which consisted of the rural communities Groß Carlowitz, Kasischka, Klodebach and Zauritz and the manor districts Groß Carlowitz, Kasischka, Klodebach and Zauritz. In 1885 Klodebach had 766 inhabitants.

In 1933 there were 650 residents in Klodebach and 641 in 1939. At the end of the war in 1945, the place belonged to the Grottkau district .

As a result of the Second World War, in 1945 Klodebach, like most of Silesia, fell under Polish administration. It was subsequently renamed Kłodobok and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. The German population was largely expelled . In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Nyski.

Attractions

The Roman Catholic Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Polish Kaplica Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa ) was built in 1903.
