The Adenauer III cabinet was the German federal government in office from October 29, 1957 to October 17, 1961 in the third legislative period .
In the federal election on September 15, 1957 , the CDU received 50.2 percent of the vote and 277 of the 519 seats in the Bundestag. The 3rd German Bundestag elected Adenauer again on October 22, 1957 as Federal Chancellor.
