Shastri's cabinet
The Shastri Cabinet was established in India on June 9, 1964 by Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri . It replaced the Nehru IV cabinet and remained in office until January 24, 1966, after which it was replaced by the Indira Gandhi I cabinet . After Prime Minister Shastri died in office on January 11, 1966, Interior Minister Gulzarilal Nanda temporarily continued the official business until January 24, 1966.
