The canton of Mortrée was a French canton in the Arrondissement Argentan , in the Département Orne and in the Normandy region until 2015 ; its main town was Mortrée . The last representative in the General Council of the Département was Claude Duval.
The canton of Mortrée was 158.07 km² and had 4026 inhabitants (1999), which corresponded to a population density of 26 inhabitants per km². It was on average 198 meters above sea level, between 157 meters in Saint-Loyer-des-Champs and 363 meters in La Bellière .

Former parishes
The following municipalities, which no longer exist today, were in the canton of Mortrée:
- Bray et Marigny was incorporated into the municipality of O between 1795 and 1800 . This was then renamed Mortrée.
- Saint-Hippolyte was incorporated into Almenêches in 1822.
- Le Repos was incorporated into Médavy in 1822.
- Marcei , Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet , Saint-Loyer-des-Champs and Vrigny merged on January 1, 2015 to form the new municipality of Boischampré .
