The Canton Exmes was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement of Argentan , in Orne and the region Basse-Normandie ; its main town was Exmes . Patrick Mussat was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1992 to 2015. The canton of Exmes was 158.77 km² and had (2006) 2796 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 18 inhabitants per km². It was on average 230 meters above sea ​​level , between 98 meters in Fel and 289 meters in Courménil .
