Karl-Heinz Radschinsky

Karl-Heinz Radschinsky (born July 23, 1953 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz ) is a former German weightlifter .

Career

Radschinsky began weightlifting in Neumarkt with the trainers Adolf Bechtold and Rüdiger Cedl. Despite the required physical conditions, it still took a few years until he reached the top international class. The highlight of his career was the 1984 Olympic gold medal in Los Angeles .

For this success he was awarded the silver bay leaf.

In 1986 he was sentenced to 18 months' probation and a fine of DM 35,000 for illegal anabolic steroids trade . Karl-Heinz Radschinsky was still active after the end of his career and strengthened his home team ASV Neumarkt in team fights. For example, on March 18, 2006 in the fight against TSV Forstenried with a body weight of 77 kg, he lifted a total weight of 240 kg (105-135).

After his athletic career he initially ran a gym before settling as a real estate businessman in Chemnitz together with his wife independently made.

  • 1984, 5th place , EM in Vitoria , Wed, with 352.5 kg ( 2nd place in pushing with 205 kg);
  • 1984, gold medal , OS in Los Angeles, Wed, with 340 kg ( 1st place WM in snatch with 150 kg and in jerk with 190 kg).

Success at German championships

Karl-Heinz Radschinksy was German champion in 1977, 1979 and 1980 in the lightweight, 1981, 1982 and 1983 in the middleweight and in 1988 in the light heavyweight German. In 1985 he became German team champion with KSV Langen and in 1990 with TSV Regen.
