Nischat Äliuly Rakhimov ( Kazakh Нижат Әліұлы Рахимов , Russian Ниджат Алиевич / Али оглы Рагимов Nijat Alijewitsch / Ali ogly Ragimow , Azerbaijani Nicat Əli oğlu Rəhimov * 13. August 1993 in Baku ) is a Kazakh weightlifters Azerbaijani origin.

He started at the beginning of his career for his homeland Azerbaijan. In 2010 he won the gold medal at both the European Youth Championships and the Youth Olympic Games . In 2013 he was junior vice world champion. In the active field, he won the Azerbaijani championship in the same year. In addition, Rakhimov took part in the Universiade 2013 , where he led the Azerbaijani team as the flag bearer at the opening ceremony and reached sixth place in the class up to 77 kg in the snatch. Only then did it become known that he had tested positive for oxandrolone and dehydrochloromethyltestosterone during a training control the previous month . He was therefore disqualified and banned for two years. After his suspension, he won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships , where he now competed for Kazakhstan. In 2016 he won the gold medal in the class up to 77 kg at the Summer Olympics by beating Oleg Perepetschonow's previous world record from 2001 by 4 kg when he pushed with 214 kg .
