Karl-Maria Schley
Karl-Maria Schley (born December 9, 1908 in Cologne , † March 11, 1980 in Berlin ) was a German actor and radio play speaker .
Life
After attending the drama school in Cologne, the first engagements followed at theaters in Aachen , Remscheid and Bremerhaven . From 1940 to 1942 Schley was engaged at the city theater in Thorn . There followed from 1942 to 1948 and 1948 to 1955 stations at the Kassel State Theater and the Wuppertal Municipal Theaters . In 1955 he became a member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus .
A highlight of his stage career was the role of Behringer in the plays The Rhinos (premiered on October 31, 1959) with Max Mairich and The King dies with Nicole Heesters (1963) by Eugène Ionesco in the productions of Karl-Heinz Stroux at the Schauspielhaus In Dusseldorf.
Karl-Maria Schley has worked in numerous film , television and radio play productions .
In 1974 he played in the television series Munich stories of Helmut Dietl (production of Bayerischer Rundfunk ) the figure of Leopold Heinrich . Among the many television appearances in 1975 was the multi-part film adaptation of the detective novel The Rope Around the Neck by Émile Gaboriau , directed by Wilhelm Semmelroth, by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) . In addition, Schley could be seen in various episodes of the series Special Department K1 , Tatort , Derrick and Die Buddenbrooks .
Karl-Maria Schley could be heard as a radio play speaker in some episodes of the popular Paul Temple series of Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR) and WDR by Francis Durbridge , directed by Eduard Hermann . In 1952 he spoke the title role in the production The Story of Askid Thorgilsson . His partner was Karl Brückel . In the radio play version of The Journey to the Center of the Earth (directed by Werner Simon) by Bayerischer Rundfunk from 1980, he played the role of Professor Otto Lidenbrock .
He was also heard in Meister Eder and his Pumuckl . He spoke in the wake Pumuckl and the common cold or Pumuckl and rhinitis in both the radio version and in the LP version, both of which were added in 1969, the Dr. Schredlbach.
Karl-Maria Schley was married to the actress Ruth Wiemeler.
