Max Mairich

Max Mairich (born April 8, 1910 in Imhausen, today in Windeck , † January 5, 1990 in Munich ) was a German actor .

He began his stage career in 1930 at the City Theater in Leipzig . In 1932 he came to the Heidelberg City Theater , where he was part of the ensemble until 1937. From 1938 to 1940 he worked at the Baden-Baden Theater, and from 1941 he played at the Stuttgart State Theater .

After the end of the Second World War , he took up an engagement at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus in 1945 , after which he worked at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich from 1962 to 1983 . Roles there were among others Colonel Kottwitz in Prince Friedrich von Homburg (1963/64) and the fool in Was ihr wollt (1969/70).

After a few film roles, Mairich appeared in numerous television games, especially literary films and series. In the crime comedy Hoopers Last Hunt , he took on the title role of Chief Superintendent James Hooper. He had permanent roles in the series The Little Doctor (1974) and Lobster (1976), where he each played a commissioner. The Bavarian State Actor was involved in the eight-part series The Experts (1980 and 1982) as a radio play speaker.

His grave is in the New Cemetery of Tutzing , Starnberg district .
