Karl Georg Heinrich Friedrich von Wnuck (born November 29, 1803 in Königsberg , † May 2, 1881 in Wiesbaden ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Origin and family

Karl Wilhelm was a member of the Zemmener tribe of the Pomeranian - Pomeranian noble family von Wnuck , from which numerous members joined the Prussian army . His parents were the Prussian colonel and commander of the garrison battalion in Pillau and landowners in Zemmen , Matthias Friedrich von Wnuck (1754-1811) and Amalie Henriette von Maltitz (1780-1825).

Military career

Wnuck attended high schools in Königsberg and Elbing . Since 1819 cadet he was transferred from the cadet corps as portepée - ensign to the 5th cuirassier regiment of the Prussian army .
