Karl Schaper (* 1992 in Wernigerode , Harz district ) is a German actor .

Life

Karl Schaper grew up in the small town of Langeln in the northern Harz foreland. At the Burg-Gymnasium Wettin ( Saxony-Anhalt ) he made his Abitur in the special branch “Fine Arts” established there. In 2011 he moved to Hamburg and did his federal voluntary service there.

In Hamburg he attended the School for Drama (SFSH) in Hamburg from 2014 to 2016 . In 2015 he was on stage at the Mölln theater festival in the play With a bicycle to the hiking birds , directed by Frank Dübel. In the summer of 2016 he appeared at the “Festival of the Performing Arts” on the Waldbühne Benneckenstein in the roles of Roller and Kosinsky in Die Räuber . From autumn 2016 to spring 2019, Schaper completed his acting studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Schaper played other theater roles during his training at the SFSH-Studiobühne (2015/16), and during his studies at the HfS “Ernst Busch” Berlin (2017) and at BAT Berlin (2017). In 2017 he appeared at the Hoftheater Dresden as soldier Parmenio in the Lessing one- act play Philotas . In the 2018/19 season he was a guest at the Berliner Volksbühne in the play Haußmanns Staatssicherheitstheater by Leander Haußmann .

Schaper has already stood in front of the camera for TV productions several times. In Polizeiruf 110: Democracy dies in darkness (first broadcast: April 2018) he played one of the episode roles; he was Alex, the leader of a group of young people from a small village in Brandenburg with whom Commissioner Olga Lenski ( Maria Simon ) is fighting. In Polizeiruf 110: Crash (first broadcast: September 2018), in his role as Leif Lebert, alongside Dennis Mojen and Jeff Wilbusch, he was one of the young members of a group of racers who call themselves “Le Magdeburg” and drive illegal car races.

In the hospital series In all Friendship - The Nurses (broadcast: November / December 2018), an offshoot of the series In All Friendship and In All Friendship - The Young Doctors , Schaper played one of the continuous series roles; he played the young Johannes Teuber, the friend of the series main character Louisa ( Llewellyn Reichman ). In the 8th season of the TV series Familie Dr. Kleist (2019) Schaper took on one of the episode roles as a friend of a young patient with a “drug past”. In the second film of the ZDF crime series Schwartz and Schwartz (March 2019), Schaper had one of the leading roles as the young baker's son Leo Weishappel, whose sister fell to her death on a construction site. In the second season of the ZDF crime series SOKO Potsdam (2019), Schaper took on an episode role as a suspect young man who had a difficult relationship with the murdered mother of his girlfriend. In the 20th season of the ZDF series SOKO Leipzig (2019), Schaper had an episode role as a suspect, previously convicted fender and petty criminal Sven Rappold. In the 34th season of the ZDF series SOKO Munich (2020), Schaper had one of the leading roles in the episode as a suspect, choleric car mechatronics technician and amateur boxer Chris Seifert, who had an argument with a killed bicycle courier .
