Karl Waitz von Eschen
Karl Sigismund Freiherr Waitz von Eschen (born November 8, 1795 in Kassel ; † November 3, 1873 in Sickte ) was a north Hessian manor owner from the Waitz von Eschen family . He was a member of the Prussian mansion for life.
Life
Karl Waitz von Eschen was the son of the Hessian State Minister Friedrich Sigismund Waitz von Eschen . He first studied from Easter 1812 at the University of Marburg . In 1813 he changed as a stud. mont. to the University of Göttingen and became a member of the Corps Hannovera . During the Wars of Liberation he was seriously wounded as a volunteer hunter. In 1819 he continued his studies in Marburg, where he became a member of the Corps Hassia. In Marburg the university authorities granted him the consilium abeundi on February 25, 1825 , and he had to leave the university. He moved to the University of Heidelberg and became a member of the Corps Hassia there.
After completing his studies, he devoted himself to the property of his family as the master of Gut Winterbüren (near Fuldatal- Rothwesten ), Gut Waitzrodt (in Immenhausen ) and Hirschberg (in Herborn ). Karl Waitz von Eschen was Vice Marshal of the Knighthood of Althessia . In 1830, as a deputy of the Knighthood of the Diemelstrom, he became a member of the Kurhessische Estates assembly . In 1831 he represented Landgrave Carl in the meeting of the estates, in 1836 the Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld . In 1842 and 1845 he again represented the knighthood of the Diemelstrom. In 1847 he renounced a mandate after his election for the city of Kassel was objected to because of his knighthood. In 1848 he first represented the Landgrave of Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld, then the knighthood of the Diemelstrom in the estates. In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament . In 1852, 1855, 1858 and 1860 he was Vice President of the Assembly of Estates.
In 1850 he was a member of the state house of the Erfurt Union Parliament . He was chamberlain to Elector Wilhelm II and a member of the Schönfeld district .
He belonged to the Prussian manor house from 1867 as a member of the Prussian mansion until his death; In 1867 he became the liberal-conservative spokesman for the house. In addition, he was chairman of the municipal council of the administrative district of Kassel from 1868 to 1871 . He died while traveling near Braunschweig.
