Life
According to her own statements, Kat Von D on her father's side comes from a family of German origin. Her father René von Drachenberg and her Spanish-Italian mother Sylvia von Drachenberg geb. Galeano were born in Argentina . The parents served as fundamentalist Seventh-day Adventist missionaries in Mexico.
The family moved to Colton , California when Kat Von D was four years old. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

In 2007, Kat Von D was fired from Miami Ink. After the termination, the Israeli- born American James, one of the co-owners of the tattoo studio, received an autograph card with an autograph from Kat Von D, which was marked with a swastika and a burning Star of David next to the sentence “Burn in Hell Jewbag” . An internal investigation at The Learning Channel and a report of a handwriting expert revealed a 99% probability that the text and the signature are from Kat Von D. Kat Von D contradicts these representations.
On December 14, 2007, she stabbed 400 tattoos within 24 hours, setting a world record that has since been exceeded. It has tattooed images of Ludwig van Beethoven , María Félix and various family members.

Her marriage to the tattoo artist Oliver Peck was divorced in 2007. From September 2010 she was dating the controversial Jesse G. James . The couple announced their engagement in January 2011, but separated in late July 2011. From 2012 to 2013 Von D had a relationship with Canadian music producer deadmau5 .
