Colton is a US city ​​in San Bernardino County in the US state of California . The city has around 52,000 inhabitants and the urban area covers an area of ​​40.7 square kilometers. Colton is located on the most southwestern end of San Bernardino County.

Demographics

The 2010 census showed a population of 52,154. Colton's population had grown by almost 5,000 within a decade. In 2000, around 47,600 people still lived in the city. The population is mostly Latinos (people of Latin American descent) followed by whites. One in ten residents of the city is African American . Other ethnic groups such as Asians are minorities. According to the 2010 Cenus, the number of households was just under 15,000. For every 100 women there was an average of 96 men.
