Big Bear Lake is a town in the San Bernardino Mountains on California State Route 18 , about 30 miles from the county's main town . The place is a popular summer and winter sports area and is located on the southern shore of the lake of the same name.

Sea data

The lake has a length of 11 kilometers and is four kilometers wide. The depth of the water is between 10.70 and 22 meters. The area is about 9  square kilometers , the water volume about 0.09 cubic kilometers . The lake is rich in fish species such as trout and carp .
