Career

Keaghan Jacobs was a talented cricketer in his youth but opted for such a career in favor of football . Until 2007 he played in the youth teams of the Scottish club Livingston FC . On November 24, 2007 he made his debut in the professional team of the Livis when he was in the third round of the Scottish Cup against Alloa Athletic in the starting line-up. He also scored his first goal on his debut. In the 4-0 success he scored 3-0 in the meantime. For the then second division team, he was used six times in the 2007/08 season .

At the end of the 2008/09 season Livingston had to relegate from the second to the fourth division. Jacobs was able to fight for a regular place in the following fourth division season. With a 15 point lead, his club confidently secured the championship title in the fourth division and direct promotion to division three. A year later, the march back to the 2nd division followed. With an even clearer lead of 23 points over Ayr United , Jacobs secured the title and promotion with Livi in 2011 .

He remained with the team in the second division until the end of the 2014/15 season . As a regular in midfield, he had played 187 league games to date and was successful as a goalscorer 22 times. In 2015 he also won the Challenge Cup with the Livis.

In July 2015 Jacobs signed a contract with Bidvest Wits from the South African Premier Soccer League . After only one assignment for the club from his hometown Johannesburg , he went back to Scotland for Livingston FC after just one year. While he was in South Africa Livingston had to relegate to the third division after losing. This was followed by two promotions to the premiership of the top division in Scotland.
