Tevi Steve Lawson (born August 8, 1994 in Mantes-la-Jolie ) is a Togolese football player who is under contract with Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership . Born in France , he represents Togo on an international level.

Career

Steve Lawson began his career in men's football in 2012 with OC Vannes in the French third division . After two years for the club from Brittany , he played for the fifth division Saint-Colomban Sportive Locminé in the 2014/15 season and a year later for the second team of FC Évian Thonon Gaillard .

In July 2016 Lawson moved to the Swiss second division club FC Le Mont-sur-Lausanne . For this he played eight games in the 2016/17 season . After only a year he moved within Switzerland to league rivals Neuchâtel Xamax , after Le Mont-sur-Lausanne had voluntarily withdrawn from the Challenge League. With Xamax, Lawson succeeded in winning the second division championship and the associated promotion to the Super League in the 2017/18 season .

In August 2018 Lawson moved to the Scottish first division club Livingston FC .

National team

Lawson was eligible to play for the French and Togolese Football Associations. In August 2017 he made his debut for the Togolese national team in a friendly against Niger .
