Jack Hamilton (born June 30, 2000 in Coldingham ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership .

Career

Jack Hamilton was born in Coldingham , in the Scottish Borders . He began his football career in Eyemouth, about 15 kilometers away . Between 2011 and 2016 he played in the youth of Leith Athletic from the district of Edinburgh of the same name . The club played in the highest Scottish league in the 1890s. From there he moved to Livingston , 25 km to the west, in 2016 to play for the local football club. He made his debut for the first team of Livingston FC in July 2017 in the Scottish League Cup against Airdrieonians FC . He had previously been awarded for six months to Penicuik Athletic in the East of Scotland Football League . After that, Hamilton remained without any further use in the professional team, instead he played in the club's U-20 team until January 2018. From January 2018, there was a six-month loan to the English Berwick Rangers , who played in the fourth Scottish division . In the first two games he met against FC Cowdenbeath and FC Peterhead . At the end of the 2017/18 season , he had scored eight goals in 16 games for Rangers.

After returning to Livingston, he made his Scottish Premier League debut here. On the 1st matchday of the 2018/19 season , he came on as a substitute for Kenny Miller in the match against Celtic Glasgow . By December 2018, he was used in twelve other top division games. He managed to take the lead in the 2-0 away win against FC St. Mirren . From January 2019, a new loan followed, this time to the second division Alloa Athletic . With an important goal, the goal of the 2-1 win against Greenock Morton , he helped the promoted team to stay close to relegation at the end of the 2018/19 season with one point ahead of the last-placed Queen of the South and FC Falkirk . From July 2019, Hamilton played on loan for one season with Queen of the South. The club from Dumfries had previously secured relegation in relegation. For the second division, the striker played 22 games in the season that was prematurely broken off by the COVID-19 pandemic and scored four times in the opposing goal.
