Robert "Robbie" Crawford (born June 22, 1994 in Irvine ) is a Scottish football player who has been under contract with Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership since 2019 .

Career

Robbie Crawford was born in Irvine , about 20 km north of Ayr . Until 2012 he played for the youth teams of Ayr United . On May 5, 2012, the last day of the 2011/12 second division season, he made his debut for the club's first team. In the game against FC Falkirk that ended with a 2: 3 away defeat, the 17-year-old was in the starting line-up. The team rose at the end of the season in relegation to the third division. In the first season after relegation Crawford was able to secure a regular place. In the 2015/16 season , he was promoted back to the second division. Behind Dunfermline Athletic , the team was runner-up and prevailed in the promotion play-offs against the clubs from Peterhead and Stranraer . In the following year, the club rose from the bottom of the table from the 2nd division again. In 2018 he was able to rise again directly as a master. With three goals scored, it was Crawford's most successful season of goals to date. In the second division season 2018/19 Crawford was able to qualify with the new league for the play-offs for promotion to the first division. In this one lost to Inverness Caledonian Thistle .

After playing over 200 competitive games for his hometown club from Ayr, Crawford signed a deal with Scottish first division club Livingston in June 2019 .
