Craig Sibbald (born May 18, 1995 in Falkirk ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Livingston FC .

Career

Craig Sibbald began his career in his hometown at FC Falkirk . As part of the club's U-17 team, he made his professional debut in 2011 at the age of 16. On July 23, 2011 he made his debut in the 1st round of the Challenge Cup against Brechin City . At the end of the season, Falkirk won the final of this competition against Hamilton Academical 1-0 with Sibbald in the starting line-up . Despite his young age, Sibbald was often in use with 26 league games in his first professional season for the second division. On December 17, 2011, he scored his first goal in the 2nd division when he scored twice in the 5-1 away win against Queen of the South . From the 2013/14 season Sibbald was a regular in Falkirk. In the 2014/15 , 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons , he never missed a league game at the second division. In 2014, 2016 and 2017 he failed to rise to the first division when the team lost in the promotion play-offs. After 214 league appearances and 30 goals, he was not offered a new contract at the end of the 2017/18 season . He then moved to the Scottish first division club Livingston FC in May 2018 .

National team

Craig Sibbald played three times for the Scottish U-16 team between 2010 and 2011 . In 2012 there were two international matches in the U-17 .
