Jason Holt (born February 19, 1993 in Edinburgh ) is a Scottish football player .
Career
society
Jason Holt was born in the Scottish capital Edinburgh in 1993 . He grew up in Musselburgh, about ten kilometers east of Edinburgh city center . He started playing football at Musselburgh Windsor . When he was nine, he joined Heart of Midlothian . Holt, who plays in the midfield, played in the Hearts Youth Academy until 2011 in the respective age groups. On May 15, 2011, the last day of the 2010/11 season , Holt made his professional debut in the game against Dundee United when he was substituted on for Scott Robinson . In the following season 2011/12 he first played two league games for Hearts and was able to achieve his first professional goal in the game against FC St. Johnstone . In the same season financial difficulties came up caused by the seedy Lithuanian President Vladimir Romanov , so that Holt and numerous other players sold, loaned or found another club free of charge. The former was the case with Holt. It was awarded to the Raith Rovers from the Scottish First Division from November 2011 to May 2012 . After returning to Hearts , he was out of action for six months from November 2013 due to injury. From January to May 2015 he was loaned out to Sheffield United . In July 2015, Holt signed a three-year deal with the Glasgow Rangers . In June 2018, Holt was awarded the third English award at Fleetwood Town by the end of the season . Another year later he was awarded to FC St. Johnstone.
In August 2020 he moved to Livingston FC .
National team
Jason Holt played nine times for the Scottish U-19s from 2010 to 2011 and scored two goals in the games against Denmark and Belgium . A year later he played once for the U-20s against Mexico . In the same year he also made his debut in the Scottish U-21 for which he was active seven times until 2013.
