Kelly Kainz

Kelly Kainz (born Kelly Beesley , born May 16, 1975 in Liverpool , England ) is a dancer .

At the age of three Kelly received lessons in ballet, tap dance, and later in Latin American dances . At the age of 17, she and her dance partner at the time reached 3rd place in Blackpool , the “Wimbledon of Dance”. In 1995 Kelly came to Austria to form a new dance couple with Andy Kainz . After almost a month of preparation, they won the state championship in Latin American dances in 1995 and 1996. In 1997 they moved to Liverpool for two years, then to London . They danced for England because there were no trainers in Austria at their level. In 2001 Kelly and Andy switched to the professional camp and won the Blackpool Dance Festival . In the same year they appeared before the altar, in 2004 they ended their active career.

The couple only returned to Austria for the ORF show Dancing Stars .

In season 1 of the show Dancing Stars, she dropped out with her partner Mat Schuh in round 1. From March 9, 2006 she took part in the 2nd season of the show Dancing Stars. Together with her dance partner Manuel Ortega , she won the show on May 5, 2006. On May 4, 2007 she also won the third season of Dancing Stars, in which Klaus Eberhartinger was her dance partner. From February 8, 2008 Kelly danced in the 4th season with Marc Pircher , with whom she left on March 8th in round 5.

Kelly and her husband Andy currently live in Carinthia and train the youngsters in the national team of the Austrian Dance Sports Association. Their first daughter, Grace Kelly, was born on September 16, 2010.

Andy and Kelly Kainz represented Austria on September 1, 2007 at the first edition of the Eurovision Dance Contest ; the couple had been selected internally by the ORF. Her first dance was a jive to the song Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy , and The black pearl was chosen as the second track from the soundtrack for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean . Andy and Kelly danced a Paso Doble to this song , which - in order to incorporate the required national elements - also contained elements of the Viennese waltz . In total, it was enough for 5th place in this show with a total of 16 participating dance couples from different nations with 74 points.
