Kenan Karaman (born March 5, 1994 in Stuttgart ) is a Turkish football player who plays in the forward position and is currently under contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf .

Career

Karaman, who has both Turkish and German citizenship, began playing football at MTV Stuttgart and later moved to VfB Stuttgart and the Stuttgarter Kickers . In 2009 he went to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . Until 2011 he was used exclusively in the youth teams. In March 2012 he made his debut in the Hoffenheim regional league team. In December 2013, he was in the DFB Cup game against FC Schalke 04 for the first time in the professional squad, but was not used. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on March 2, 2014 , when he was substituted on in the game against VfL Wolfsburg shortly before the end.

For the 2014/15 season , Karaman moved to Hannover 96 together with his teammate Stefan Thesker . He signed a contract until June 30, 2017. In the 3-1 home defeat against VfB Stuttgart on September 23, 2015, the 6th matchday of the 2015/16 season, he scored his first Bundesliga goal for Hanover.

On May 18, 2018, he signed a contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf until 2021.

National team

Karaman has played 21 times for youth teams of the Turkish Football Association . On November 9, 2017, Karaman made his debut for the Turkish national soccer team . He came on in the 64th minute for Hakan Çalhanoğlu .
