Adam Bodzek (born September 7, 1985 in Zabrze , Poland ) is a German- Polish soccer player .

Career

Adam Bodzek, who moved to Germany with his family at the age of eight, played in the youth of Blau Weiß Post Recklinghausen and SpVgg Erkenschwick . In the summer of 2003, the defender moved to MSV Duisburg , where he was initially used by the amateurs . For the 2005/06 season Bodzek received a professional contract with MSV. During the season he made his first professional appearances and scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 2-5 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on March 18, 2006. After relegation he was a regular member of the second division squad, which made it back up in 2007, and came up with 23 missions. From the 2007/08 season he was a member of the team council of the Bundesliga squad, even if he was not used in the first half of the 2007/08 season. He extended his contract until 2011.

On 6 August 2010, Bodzek moved the training camp in Upper Austria Windischgarsten in a preseason game against the 1. FC Nuremberg after a challenge with its captain Andreas Wolf a broken collarbone on the left shoulder. He was successfully operated on the following day in the professional association accident clinic in Duisburg. After several months of recovery, the defensive man only made three short appearances for MSV in the first half of 2010.

During the 2010/11 winter break, he moved within the second division to Fortuna Düsseldorf . There he was used 14 times in the second half of the season. In the 2011/12 season he rose to the Bundesliga with Fortuna.
